New Delhi: Supertech Twin Towers located in Sector 93A of Noida has been demolished. The twin towers in Sector 93A of Noida were blown up using 3700 kg explosives. It took 9 years to build and 9 seconds to tear it down. The video of how such a huge building collapsed into the ground in a few seconds is now going viral.

However, to destroy the twin towers, 9640 holes were dug in different floors of the said building. The depth of each hole was 2.643 mm. More than 3700 kg of explosives were placed in these holes. Each hole contained 250 grams to 1 kg of explosives. Cameras were installed at various places to record the building collapse. Cleaning machines, anti-smog guns, and water sprinklers were placed to control the dust in the area when the huge building was buried in the ground and to reduce its impact. The surrounding buildings were also covered. No damage has been done to the surrounding houses so far.

Noida twin tower demolished

However, a total of 7.5 lakh square feet was built in the two buildings of Supertech in Sector 93-A, Noida. The height of Apex building is 103 meters while the height of Cien building is 97 meters. 933 rupees per square feet had to be spent for the construction of the project. So it is said that the construction cost of the double building was 70 crores. On the other hand, it will cost Rs 20 crore to demolish it. Of this, about Rs 5 crore will be provided by Supertech. The remaining Rs 15 crore will be collected from the sale of iron ore and debris.
