I don’t want the statue to be erected in the Presidential Palace, I never heard Draupadi Murmu say anything: Tejaswi Yadav
Shivhar: We do not want the statue to be erected in the Rashtrapati Bhavan, RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav said on Saturday, comparing the ruling NDA’s presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu to the opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha.
“We want to elect a president, not a statue, for the presidency,” he told reporters. You have always heard Yashwant Sinha say a lot, but you have never heard of the ruling party’s presidential candidate.
“Journalists have never heard of Murmu,” he said. In his language, I think you’ve never heard her say that to the media. She has not held a single press conference since becoming a candidate.
Tejaswi Yadav is not the first politician to criticize Murmu. Recently, Congress leader Ajay Kumar was also criticized for criticizing Murmu. His criticism is not against Murmu, but against the ideology of the BJP-RSS.
In addition, the Puducherry Unit of the Congress also called Murmu a “dummy president”.
