Give empty plastic packets, get Rs 1 discount on petrol

Mundara launched a three-month awareness campaign on July 15 and state milk brand Saras Dairy, the Bhilwara district administration and the Pollution Control Board have supported his campaign.

Jaipur: A petrol pump owner in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara has come up with a new approach to create awareness against single-use plastics. He has decided to give a discount of one rupee on a liter of petrol and 50 paise on diesel. Then the discount is not free but you have to pay him something that you throw away after use. According to the petrol pump owner he will give a discount if you give him the empty milk packets and empty plastic bottles that you throw away after use at home. Ashok Kumar Mundara, owner of Chhaganlal Bagtavarmal petrol pump located on Chittorgarh Road in Rajasthan, is encouraging people to stop using single-use plastic through this campaign.

Saras Dairy has decided to take away the empty milk packets that accumulate at petrol pumps. They have given discounts on empty milk packets and water bottles. Mundara said that around 700 empty milk packets have been collected.
