Islamabad: Asad Rauf is one of the famous umpires of Pakistan. He died suddenly on Wednesday night. It is reported that former umpire Asad died of a heart attack at the age of 66.

He has umpired in 49 Tests, 98 ODIs and 23 T20 International matches during his 13-year career. He was accused of spot-fixing in IPL in 2013.

And in 2016, BCCI banned Asad Rauf. After the ban, many changes took place in his life. He ran a shoe and cloth shop in a bazaar in Lahore.

His brother Tahir Rauf gave the news of Asad’s sudden death in the media. Tahir said that Asad was returning home after closing the shop on Wednesday night. At that time, he suddenly felt a pain in his chest. Then his breath flew away.

In 2012, Asad was accused of sexually assaulting a model in Mumbai. The model alleged that the Pakistani umpire asked her to marry her and had sex with her. But in the next moment he went back on his word and refused to marry her.
