‘Amul’ hikes milk prices by Rs 3 per liter from today
Ahmedabad: Gujarat Dairy Cooperative Amul has increased the milk price by Rs 3 per liter from today.
In a statement issued in this regard, Amul Marketing Federation said that the prices of all types of ‘Amul’ pouch milk have been increased from February 3.
After the implementation of the increased prices, this time ‘Amul Gold’ will be sold at 66 rupees, ‘Amul Taja’ at 54 rupees, ‘Amul cow milk’ at 56 rupees and ‘Amul A2 Milk’ at 70 rupees, it was mentioned in the statement issued on Thursday.
Last October, ‘Amul‘ raised milk price by Rs 2 per litre.
Due to increase in expenditure on overall management and milk production, milk prices have been increased. Compared to last year, the price of Cow food has increased by about 20%. Considering the cost increase, the union members have also increased the farmers’ income by 8 to 9 percent compared to last year, the company said at the time.
Besides, in the month of December, ‘Mother Dairy’ also increased Rs 2 per liter of milk in Delhi National Capital Region.
