New Delhi: In the financial year 2021-22, the total amount of donations received by the national political parties has increased by 31.50 percent. In 2021-22, the national political parties received 780.774 crore rupees from a total of 7,141 grants. In 2021-22, the BJP has received Rs 644 crore in donations, while the Congress has received Rs 95 crore, according to the ADR report. BJP has announced that it has received 614.63 crores from a total of 4,957 donations. Congress received 85.46 crore from 1255 donations. However, BJP received three times more than the average amount of money received by Congress, NCP, CPI, CPI(M), NPEP and AITC.
However, compared to 2020-21, the total donations of national political parties in 2021-22 have increased by 187.03 crore rupees. Donations have increased by 31.50 percent compared to the previous year. In 2020-21, BJP received 477.55 crores of funds, while in 2021-22, it increased to 614.63 crores. BJP’s donations have increased by 28.71 percent in one year. Congress funds increased from 74.52 crores in 2020-21 to 95.46 crores in 2021-22. A total of 395.85 crore donations to the political parties came from Delhi. A total of 625.88 crores has been received from the corporate sector.
