‘CRPF’ jawan dies after shooting himself in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama
Pulwama: A CRPF jawan who was guarding a check point in Jammu and Kashmir‘s Pulwama district shoots himself dead late on Friday night, government officials said.
The said ‘CRPF’ named Ajay Kumar was posted in Sail area of Awantipora in south Kashmir district. According to the preliminary investigation, the young man was suffering from depression.
An army official told the media ‘Times Now’ that at around 1.55 pm, the sound of firing was heard near Sail Chersoo. After investigating the incident, it was found that F112Bn CRPF ‘Ct/Sepoy Ajaya kumar was found dead in the pool of blood. A 174th ‘inquest’ or investigation has been launched after the medical procedure was over. It is clear that the cause of his death was suicide.
According to information collected from other sources, ‘CRPF’ jawan Ajay Kumar has died after being shot in his service rifle. While his body was shifted to the hospital for post-mortem, the police came to know about the incident and started investigation.
Notably, in May too, a ‘CRPF’ jawan committed suicide in Pulwama district.
