New Delhi: Aadhaar PAN linking: If a person fails to link his PAN card with Aadhaar before March 31, 2023, his PAN card will become invalid, said a statement issued by the Central Government today.
PAN cards not linked with Aadhaar before March 31, 2023 will be considered invalid. A PAN card that is not linked to Aadhaar cannot be accepted or used anywhere. In other words, it will be considered that you do not have a valid PAN. Notably, PAN card is now mandatory for investments in stocks, mutual funds, loans and other financial sectors.
However, a fine of Rs 1,000 has to be paid instead of Rs 500 for linking the PAN card which has not been linked with Aadhaar after March 31, 2023, the statement further said.
