World’s most powerful ‘Artemis-1’ has started its 3rd attempt journey to moon

New Delhi: The world’s most powerful rocket ‘Artemis-1’ has started its journey from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the launch pad today. This ‘Space Launch System’ along with the ‘Orion’ spacecraft will start its journey to the moon on November 14.

The rocket is loaded onto a crawler-transporter to reach the 39B launch pad at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, 6.4 kilometers from the Assembly Building.

The spacecraft has made two previous attempts to reach the moon, but failed due to engine problems and fuel leaks.

In an update to the blog, NASA said that the moon rocket Artemis-1 will remain aloft for some time after leaving the Vehicle Assembly Building. Before going to the launch pad, experts will check it again. It will take eight to 12 hours for the rocket-powered crawler to reach the launch pad.

NASA will issue an update once the rocket reaches the pad. After the ‘Apollo’ lunar missions in the 1960s and 1970s, this 4.1 billionth test flight will be NASA’s first lunar mission. But, no human will go on this expedition. 2024 After the second moon landing in 2025, two people will reach the moon.
