PM has given 10 thousand crore rupees for Odisha railway development: Ashwini Vaishnaw

Bhubaneswar: The foundation stone for the much awaited renovation of Bhubaneswar railway station was laid today (Thursday). Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Coal, Mines and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw attended the foundation laying ceremony. MP Aparajita Sarangi, Pratap Chandra Sarangi, MLA Sura Rautharai and MLA Anant Narayan Jena joined as distinguished guests.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given 10 thousand crore rupees to Odisha for railway development. The central government has the will power and the money. Modi has a sincere desire for all-round development of Odisha. He has called to rise above politics and work. Similarly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given Rs 5,600 crore for development in the telecom sector. Mr. Vaishnaw informed that 5-G service will be started in Odisha before January 26. He announced that a new train will also be run from Bhubaneswar to Bhadrak.

In this program, MP Aparajita Sarangi thanked Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for the renovation of Bhubaneswar railway station. She said, “I met Ashwini Vaishnaw two days after becoming the minister and demanded the renovation of Bhubaneswar railway station.” In 2022-23 after approval, the tender for work order has already been received. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has given proof of how the work is done at a fast pace.

308 crores has been budgeted for this project, which aims to provide global services to railway passengers, which will be completed within 24 months. Apart from this, two new trains will be launched in Odisha on Thursday to fulfill the long-standing demand of the public. A new express train will run between Sambalpur and Shalimar (Calcutta) via Puri-Jaleshwar-Puri passenger train and Talcher-Dhenkanal-Bhadrak route. Passengers in the region will no longer have to rely on other modes of transportation for convenience and comfort.
