AUS vs ZIM:: The visiting Australian cricket team has won the three-match one-day series against Zimbabwe. The visiting team, who won the first match by 5 wickets, won the second match by 8 wickets on Wednesday and took the lead of 2-0 before the last match. In the second match, fast bowler Mitchell Starc was awarded the man-of-the-match award as he dismissed the home side’s first three batters back to the pavilion.
Zimbabwe lost the toss and scored 96 runs in just 27.5 overs, losing all their wickets. Sean Williams scored 29 runs while Mitchell Starc and Adam Zampa took 3 wickets each and Cameron Green took 2 wickets. Josh Hazlewood and Auston Agar got one wicket each. In reply, Steven Smith (47) and Alex Curry (26) put together an unbeaten stand of 84 runs for the third wicket as Australia lost by 2 wickets for 100 runs in just 14.4 overs. Only David Warner (13) and captain Aaron Finch (1) were out. The third and final day will be played at this venue on Saturday.
