100 crore defamation case against Congress chairman Kharge

New Delhi: Kharge has been summoned in the defamation case of Bajrang Dal. Sangrur District Court Civil Judge (Senior Division) Ramandeep Kaur has issued a summons to Kharge in the Rs 100 crore defamation case. Along with this, the court asked Kharge to appear in court on July 10.

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge compared the ‘Bajrang Dal’ to the ‘Popular Front of India’ in the run-up to the Karnataka assembly elections. The Sangrur district court of Punjab has issued the above summons to the Congress president based on the complaint of Bajrang Party Hindustan president Hitesh Bhardwaj.

Hitesh said that Kharge had said in a rally that if the Congress government comes to power, bans will be imposed against the Bajrang Dal or other anti-national organizations that spread hatred in the society. Against this, Hitesh Bhardwaj filed a defamation suit in the Sangrur court.
