Seoul: The South Korean military said that North Korea had fired three ballistic missiles into the East Sea this morning.
This is North Korea’s first missile launch after 8 days. In less than 5 days, that is on Monday North Korea released 5 drones in the airspace of South Korea, the South Korean army complained. This was the first such incident after 2017. South Korea was forced to send its fighter jets and attack helicopters to shoot down the drones.
In a statement issued on the occasion of today’s ballistic missiles launch, North Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said, “The South Korean Army has learned that three short-range missiles were launched from North Korea’s Hwanghae Province in the East Sea at around 8:00 local time on Saturday.”
