Biju Swastya Kalyan Yojana brings smiles to the faces of patients, 3.81 lakh beneficiaries have received treatment
3,81,937 beneficiaries have received medical benefits from August 15, 2021 to August 15 this year.
Bhubaneswar, 19/08: Biju Swastya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) has given a new look to the people of the state. It stands by the poor in times of danger. Due to this patients are getting cured from many complex and difficult diseases. Bringing smiles to the faces of BSKY patients.
The BSKY scheme in the state was started on August 15, 2018. The state government specially launched Biju Swastya Kalyan Yojana ‘Smart card’ scheme from 1st September 2021. By showing this smart card, the patient gets free treatment in the hospital.
According to the information received from the health department, 3,81,937 beneficiaries have received medical benefits from August 15, 2021 to August 15 this year. Out of this, 1,93,313 men and 1,88,583 women have benefited. 41 people belong to other categories. For this, the state government has spent 781,24,17,435 rupees. The people of Odisha are getting its benefits even outside the state. So far 13,157 people outside the state have received medical services from BSKY. 33,34,67,599 rupees have been spent for them.
Around one hundred crores of rupees are spent per month for BSKY beneficiaries in the state. About 50,000 patients are being treated per month. In this scheme, the amount of treatment for men has been fixed at Rs 5 lakh, while for women Rs 10 lakh has been fixed. Arrangements have been made for the beneficiaries to get treatment in 357 hospitals of the state and 90 hospitals outside the state.
