Telangana: T Raja Singh, a BJP MLA from Telangana’s Goshamahl, was arrested on Tuesday for making derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad. A large number of Muslim youth gathered against him outside the commissioner’s office in Hyderabad last night and raised slogans of ‘Sar Tan Se Juda’. Seeing that the situation was deteriorating the police arrested T Raju and the BJP removed him from the party. The party has given him 10 days to show reasons why he should not be suspended from the party and expelled.
You have expressed views against the party’s stance on various issues, which is in violation of Rule XXV, 10(a) of the Bharatiya Janata Party constitution. “I have been instructed to inform you that you will be suspended from the team pending the completion of the investigation,” Central Disciplinary Committee Secretary Om Pathak said.
