New Delhi: Late on Thursday night, Delhi Police said that the passengers and crew were disembarked after receiving a false bomb threat on a flight from Moscow to Delhi.
According to the collected information, there was a phone call at 11.15 pm on Thursday that there was a bomb on the flight “SU 232” coming from Moscow with 386 passengers and 16 crew members. Bomb disposal and rescue teams reached the spot at around 2.30 pm after the plane landed on runway 29 of the Delhi airport. After checking, it was found that there was no bomb in the plane.
In this regard, the Delhi Police said in a statement that there was a phone call last night that there was a bomb on a flight coming from Moscow to Delhi. After the flight landed in Delhi at around 3.20 pm, all the passengers and crew were disembarked. After the inspection of the said plane, the incident is under investigation.
As per the latest information, no explosive material has been recovered from the said aircraft. Preliminary investigations suggest that it was a false threat. However, due to this, there is a slight delay in the morning flight at the Delhi airport.
