CBI filed charge sheet against 14 persons including Lalu and Rabdi

Bihar: Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav‘s family is facing increasing problems. The CBI has filed a charge sheet against RJD chief Lalu Prasad, his wife Rabdi Devi and 14 others in the land for jobs scam.

CBI has accused Lalu Prasad Yadav and the GM on that time in the charge sheet. Along with this, the investigation of other members of Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family has also been continued.

The CBI has named Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabdi Devi, her daughter Misa Bharti and 13 others as accused. The CBI registered a preliminary inquiry on September 23, 2021, into the railway corruption case, which was converted into an FIR on May 18. The scandal took place between 2004 and 2009, when Lalu Prasad Yadav was the railway minister in the UPA government.

It is alleged that there was a scam in railway recruitment when Lalu Prasad was railway minister and land was taken from the applicant in lieu of job. According to the agency, the candidates were allegedly shifted to Group D posts within three days of the railway authorities applying unreasonably early and were later regularized when these persons themselves or their family members took their land.

The CBI alleged that the land was taken in the name of Rabdi Devi and her two daughters. The central agency alleged that Lalu Prasad’s family members had acquired about 1.05 lakh square feet of land in Patna by paying the seller in cash.
