MHA issued notification for the recruitment of 1.30 lakh constables in 2023

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday issued a notification for recruitment of about 1.30 lakh constable posts in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) with 10 percent reservation for agniveer.

A notification issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs said that all these appointments are made under Section 18 (1) of the CRPF Act, 1949 (66 of 1949) and the Central Reserve Police Force Group ‘C’ (General Duty/Technical/Tradesman) Cadre Recruitment Rules, 2010. Exercising the powers conferred on the (General Duty Cadre) post. The Central Government has enacted this rule to regulate the procedure of recruitment to the post of General Duty Cadre Group ‘C’, Constable (General Duty) in the General Duty Cadre in the CRPF.

The notification announced a total of 1,29,929 Constable (General Duty) posts including 4,667 posts for women in General Central Service, Group ‘C’, Non-Gazetted, (Non-Ministerial Combatant).

Former Agniveer; The age limit will be relaxed up to 5 years for the first batch candidates. And there will be age limit up to 3 years for ex-agniveer candidates.

Similarly, ex-agniveer will be exempted from Physical Proficiency Test (PET). 10% of posts will be reserved for ex-agniveer for recruitment to the post of Constable (General Duty).
