New Delhi: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has demanded special focus status for Odisha. The Chief Minister raised this demand in the Niti Aayog meeting. The Chief Minister attended the Niti Aayog Governing Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today.
In this meeting, Naveen raised various issues related to Odisha’s status as a focus state, agriculture, health and state interests. He said, since Odisha faces natural calamities every year, special attention should be given to the state. Odisha has been making this demand to the central government for two decades. But the Center is ignoring the promise.
