New Delhi: The Chinese government has responded to the Indian government’s decision to impose restrictions on Chinese mobile companies. The spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that bilateral trade between India and China is mutually beneficial. We appeal to the Government of India to provide a free, fair and impartial business and investment environment to Chinese companies. We will help to protect the legal rights and interests of Chinese companies.
According to a report published in the media less than two days ago, the Indian government has started efforts to prevent the dominance of Chinese mobile companies in India. According to the government’s plan, Chinese companies cannot sell mobiles priced below Rs 12,000 in India. As a result, Indian mobile companies can once again do business in this segment.
If the Indian government takes this decision, it will seriously affect the business of Chinese companies. Because most of the smartphones in India are sold in the budget segment i.e. below Rs.12,000. This segment has been captured by Chinese companies and huge revenue is going to China. So India’s plan has worried China.
