Bhubaneswar: Congress will discuss the issue of rising prices and unemployment. From the 17th to 23rd of the state all the constituencies of the state will distribute pamphlets to the public at public places, mandis, huts etc. to create awareness. In addition PCC President Sharat Patnaik has informed that Mahangai Par Halla Bowl- Chalo Delhi will be held on 28th in Ramlila Maidan Delhi.

Mr. Patnaik said in a press conference held at Congress Bhawan today that due to Modi government’s anti-people policies and failure in financial management, there has been a huge rise in prices in the country. Before coming to power in 2014 the BJP made many promises of 2 crore jobs a year, Rs 15 lakh deposits in everyone’s accounts and control over rate hikes. The government has completely failed to keep all the promises. Compared to 2014, petrol and diesel prices have increased significantly. The price of cooking gas has increased from Rs 410 to Rs 1080. In the recent GST Council meeting, the central government has imposed 5% GST on flour, jaggery, khai, chuda, mudi, paneer, curd and pencil cut notes. The central government has collected Rs 27.7 lakh crore as tax in the financial year 2021-22. But the target was 22 lakh crore. Why are prices rising when the central government collects more taxes than the target?

Similarly, the central government is playing with the future of the youth. The Odisha government has been supporting all these anti-people decisions of the central government. So the central and state governments are jointly deceiving the public. Congress continues its struggle against this deception of the central government. On the 5th of this month, while the Raj Bhavan was surrounded by the party. Mr. Patnaik has informed that the statewide march program will continue from 9th to 14th.
