Ranchi: The Congress party today suspended three MLAs who were caught red-handed by the West Bengal police while carrying a large amount of cash in the car on Saturday.

Jharkhand Congress general secretary and party executive Abinash Pandey said that three MLAs who were caught with huge cash yesterday have been immediately expelled from the party.

The said three MLAs are Ifran Ansari, Rajesh Kachhap and Naman Bixal Kongari. While they were traveling in an SUV on National Highway No. 16, the West Bengal Police stopped their car at ranihati.

While Ansari is the MLA from Jamatra, Kachpa is the MLA from Khizri in Ranchi district. Similarly, Kongri is the MLA of Kolebira in Simdega district.

The Congress has already said that this is an attempt by the ‘BJP’ to buy off the MLAs and remove the ‘Jharkhand Muktimurcha -Congress government’.

Avinash Pandey blamed Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and said that he has the phone recording as a proof that Sharma is in a relationship with the said MLA. He spoke to JMM chief and Chief Minister Hemant Soren and arranged a meeting.
