Kanpur: A constable of the Kanpur crime branch was suspended on Thursday for making offensive remarks against Prime Minister Modi and a woman ‘IAS’ officer.

According to information received, Ajay Gupta, a constable posted at the Kanpur Crime Branch, made abusive comments on Twitter in the name of Prime Minister Modi and a woman ‘IAS’ officer.

The police commissioner who suspended him ‘B.P. Jogdand said, some tweets posted by a conservative on social media violated his boundaries. Being a police job, we have certain limitations. This is a violation of our code of conduct. In view of this, we have suspended him and ordered a departmental inquiry.

Gupta spends most of his days posting controversial tweets on social media and giving nasty answers to questions that come his way. He also posts ‘screengrabs’ of the said answers on social media and they go viral.

It is worth noting that Constable Ajay Gupta, who has been working in the ‘Crime Branch Commissionerate’ for a long time, raised objections regarding the police medal announced on August 14. He questioned everyone from Commissionerate officials to the ‘DGP’. The Commissionerate of Police also replied to him. However, despite this, he also made offensive remarks against the police department on social media.
