Covid-19 fourth wave; On the fourth day, 20,528 new infections increased to 5.23%
New Delhi: For the fourth day in a row today, the number of new coronavirus infections in the country is over 20,000. According to the Union Health Ministry, the positive rate was 5.23% in the last 24 hours, while the weekly positive rate was 4.55%.
According to the Union Ministry of Health, as many as 20,528 new coronavirus infections and 49 deaths were recorded in the 24 hours across the country as of 9 am on Sunday.
The total number of infected people in the country, including 20,528 new cases detected in 24 hours, has risen to 4,37,50,599.
The total death of India in addition to 49 last 24 hours has risen to 5,25,709 due to Covid-19. Among the 49 recorded deaths, 17 were from Kerala, 8 from Maharashtra, 6 from West Bengal, 3 each from Karnataka and Punjab, 2 each from Assam, Delhi and Jharkhand, and 1 each from Bihar, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Pondicherry, Tripura and Uttarakhand.
In the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries in the country is 17,790 and total number of recovery from COVID-19 infections till date is 4,30,81,441.
