Bhubaneswar: With the arrival of new variants of Corona, the infection is expected to increase. The central government has ordered all states and union territories to be alert. A covid mock drill has been conducted at Capital Hospital today as the central government has ordered for a covid mock drill.

Laxmidhar Sahu, director of Capital Hospital, said, “We have prepared and uploaded all the data on the national portal as per the instructions of the Centre. Capital Hospital is not a covid hospital. Mainly corona tests are done here. And Corona patients are referred to different hospitals from here. Considering the situation, 10 isolation beds have been prepared for Corona patients.

Currently only 20 to 25 covid tests are being done per day. We will increase the number of tests if more are required. Therefore, the need for test kits will increase and there will be a need for more manpower for managing Covid, said Capital Hospital Director.
