ED arrests businessman Amit Arora in Delhi liquor policy case

Earlier, the CBI had alleged that Amit Arora, Dinesh Arora and Arjun Pandey were close associates of Sisodia. They were handling bribe money received from liquor licenses for accused government officials

New Delhi: The ED today arrested Amit Arora, a close aide of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, in the Delhi Liquor Policy case.

Businessman Amit is the director of ‘Buddy Retail’ in Gurugram. In addition to this, the ED has already arrested 5 people in corruption cases related to the Delhi Liquor Policy.

After cross-examination, on September 27, liquor dealer Sameer Mahandru was also arrested by the ED. In this case, the financial investigation agency ‘ED’ has already conducted 169 searches. On the recommendation of the Viceroy of Delhi, the responsibility of investigating the Delhi Liquor Policy corruption case was handed over to the CBI. Due to financial corruption, the ED under the instructions of the CBI has been conducting raids and arrests in the above cases.

Earlier, the CBI had alleged that Amit Arora, Dinesh Arora and Arjun Pandey were close associates of Sisodia. They were handling bribe money received from liquor licenses for accused government officials.

It is to be remembered that despite being named in the CBI’s FIR, Minister Sisodia’s name is not in the CBI’s charge sheet submitted within 60 days of the investigation.
