New Delhi: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has given his response to the National Education Policy. He said that Balvatika will start from the age of three. He informed that the first 5-year teaching and learning book will be released on 26th January Saraswati Puja.
Dharmendra Pradhan also said that the main plan of the national education policy is the new curriculum. Balvatika will start from the age of three. Balvatika is three years and Standard 1 and 2 is the first step. The third, fourth and fifth are three years. The sixth, seventh, and eighth are three more years. The ninth, tenth, eleventh and twelfth are four years.
5+3+3+4 i.e. 15 years course will be published in 2023-24. The first five years of teaching and learning material text books have been prepared. On the occasion of Saraswati Puja, the first 5-year book will be released on 26th of this month. Another 10 years of book work has begun. The Steering Committee of the National Curriculum Framework is preparing the syllabus. NCERT, Government of India in collaboration with State Governments and State NCERTs are developing state based text books. Emphasis is given to Indian languages, mother tongue and local languages are also given importance. This will lead to the development of the whole child.
