Bhubaneswar: President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu today spent some time in two schools in the capital. First, she visited Tapovan High School in Khadagiri. After staying there for about 15 minutes, she met the students in a hall there. During the meeting, the students presented a hand-made painting to the President.

Later, President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu Unit-II Government Girls High School stayed for some time. She studied there from 8th to 11th standard from 1970 to 1974. At this time she was staying in Kuntala Kumari Savat tribal dormitory. On the occasion of her first visit to Odisha, the President’s feet fell on the school where she was studying. Co-principals of Unit-II Government Girls High School said they were very happy to meet the President. On this occasion, Mrs. Draupadi Murmu planted trees. Apparently, she went to Birsamunda and Tulsi Munda block where she lived in the hostel. After visiting the dormitory, the President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu sat for some time on the bed she was using.

Later, the President will attend a special program organized by the Union Ministry of Education at Jaydev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar and launch various programs. Honorable President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu will launch various initiatives in a special program organized by the Union Ministry of Education at Jaydev Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.

In this special event, in the presence of Union Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dharmendra Pradhan, the Hon’ble President will launch a number of initiatives, including engineering books prepared by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) in Odia language. Apart from Union Minister Shri Pradhan, Governor Professor Ganesh Lal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will also participate in this program.
