New Delhi: Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova will arrive in India on a four-day official visit on Monday to discuss bilateral relations, the current situation in Ukraine and discuss global issues and mutual interests, government officials said.
During the visit, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzhaparova will also meet with Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Culture Meenakshi Lekhi and Deputy National Security Adviser Vikram Misri.
The statement issued in this regard mentions that India maintains good friendly relations with Ukraine and cooperates in many fields. Over the past 30 years of diplomatic relations, the two countries have achieved remarkable progress in the fields of trade, education, culture and defence. The visit will create an opportunity to strengthen mutual understanding and interests.
According to a report in The Hindu, during her visit, Dzhaparova may seek humanitarian aid from India and equipment to repair power infrastructure damaged during the Russian attack. She may also invite Prime Minister Modi to visit Kyiv.
