New Delhi: The FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup, to be held from October 11 to 30 this year at three venues in India (Bhubaneswar, Goa and Navi Mumbai). Host India is in the difficult group. India is in Group “A” with football superpowers Brazil, Morocco and the United States.
In this World Cup, 16 teams are divided into 4 groups. India will play their first match on October 11 against the United States at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. Second match in the same venue with Morocco on October 14 and last match with Brazil on 17th. India has the right to host the 2020 edition of the World Cup. However, the competition for the Covid pandemic was canceled.
Spain,Colombia, China and Mexico are in Group “C” . Spain defeated Mexico in the final of the 2018 edition of the World Cup to become the world champions. North Korea has one of the most successful teams in World Cup history. The team won the trophy in 2008 and 2016. Japan, South Korea and France, among others, have won the World Cup once.
