After a long wait, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s film ‘Gadar 2’ hit the screens
After Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathan' in 2023, 'Gadar 2' has the highest advance bookings. According to reports, 7,22,821 tickets were sold for Sunny Deol's film on Thursday night.
Mumbai: The long wait is over. The much awaited film ‘Gadar 2’ starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel has finally released in theatres. Due to massive advance bookings for the film, long queues were seen in front of the theaters in the morning. About 45 percent of the viewers were seen in the morning show. Where people are reaching theaters reminiscing about ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ which was released less than 22 years ago. It is rumored to be the biggest film of Sunny Deol’s career.
After Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathan‘ in 2023, ‘Gadar 2’ has the highest advance bookings. According to reports, 7,22,821 tickets were sold for Sunny Deol’s film on Thursday night. Even before its release, the film earned Rs 17.6 crore on its opening day. On-spot booking is also available on Fridays.
Especially in the morning show, more than 45% audience was recorded in the hall. It is estimated that it may increase to 65 percent by evening.
Film Gadar 2, directed by Anil Sharma, is a sequel to the 2001 film Gaadar: Ek Prem Katha. Like ‘Sholay’, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Hum Apkehi Kaun!’, ‘Gadar: A Love Story’ is also an iconic film in the history of Indian cinema.
Gadar 2 has released in more than 3500 screens across the country. The budget of the film is between 75-80 crores. This means that film ‘Gadar-2’ will become a ‘hit’ at the box office as soon as it enters the Rs 100 crore club.
