Ranchi: An FIR has been filed against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, Manoj Tiwari and seven others for allegedly forcing the staff of Jharkhand’s Deoghar airport to fly a chartered flight at night.
Based on the complaint of Airport DSP Suman Anon, the said complaint has been filed against BJP leaders. Nishikant Dubey, Manoj Tiwari and the director of the airport have been booked against 9 others for endangering the life and safety of others and criminal trespass.
According to the filed ‘FIR’, Godda Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey, his sons Kanishkant Dubey, Mahikant Dubey, MP Manoj Tiwari, Mukesh Pathak, Debta Pandey and Pintu Tiwari entered high-security air traffic control (ATC) at Deoghar airport without permission on August 31. And extended their influence to pressurize their chartered aircraft to give clearance for take off.
However, the newly-opened airport had not yet initiated the permit system for night flights. Now there is a permission to fly 30 minutes before sunset.
But, according to the complainant, the time of sunset on the day of the incident was 6.03. The ‘BJP’ leader’s chartered plane took off at 6.17 pm.
Reacting to the FIR, Nishikant Dubey told the media that the airport authorities did not object. I am ready to fight this case as I have obtained permission from the airport director.
