Taipei: The Taiwanese army has shot down a Chinese spy drone that entered its airspace. Despite repeated warnings from Taiwan, China’s drones were intruding and taking pictures of important places.

On Thursday, at 12:00 Taiwan time (9:30 a.m. Indian time), the drone that entered Kinmen Island was shot down by the Kinmen Defense Command of the Taiwan Army. The drone was shot down after being first warned by the Taiwanese army. For the past three days, the Taiwanese army has been shooting at Chinese drones. On Wednesday, the Taiwanese army fired at three Chinese drones, but they returned.

As tensions continue in the region, the Taiwanese government is worried as Chinese spy drones regularly fly over Taiwan. Especially since China’s drones are flying over Taiwan’s military facilities and army camps to take pictures, the threat to Taiwan’s security has increased. In view of this, the Taiwanese army ordered last week to shoot down the Chinese drones on sight.
