Islamabad: After the increase in fuel prices in Pakistan, petrol is being sold at Rs 272 per liter and diesel at Rs 280 per liter from Wednesday night.

The fuel price hike was announced shortly after the Shehbaz Sharif government presented the Supplementary Finance Bill (Mini Budget) in the Pakistan National Assembly.

“Geo News” reported that the government of Pakistan has increased the fuel prices to satisfy the “International Monetary Fund” in order to open up the complicated debt process.

In the press release issued by the Finance Division regarding the increase in fuel prices, it is mentioned that the price has increased due to the decrease in the value of the rupee against the dollar.
