Mumbai: If Gujaratis and Rajasthanis are driven out, Maharashtra will become bankrupt and Mumbai will no longer be called the financial capital of India, said Governor B.S. Koshiyari. ‘Shiv Sena’ MP Sanjay Raut strongly condemned the remarks made by Koshiyari in his speech today.
As the decades-long Marathi-Gujarati conflict rages on, MP Sanjay Raut has urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to at least condemn the governor’s statement. MP Raut shared a video and requested social media users to listen to how the governor has hurt Marathi people.
Sanjay Raut tweeted, “Marathi people were humiliated the moment the ‘BJP’ sponsored Chief Minister came to power. CM Sinde should at least condemn the Governor. This is an insult to the hardworking Marathi people.
In the video shared by Raut, Governor B.S. Koshiyari said, “Sometimes I tell people that if Gujaratis and Rajasthanis are removed from Maharashtra, especially Mumbai and Pune, they will not have any money.”
MP Sanjay Raut said to Chief Minister Shinde, are you listening? If you have self-respect, demand the governor’s resignation.
