New Delhi: In the last month of February, the GST collection of the country has reached 1 lakh 49 thousand 577 crore rupees. It is 12 percent more than February 2022, while it is 5 percent less than January 2023, according to the report issued by the Union Finance Ministry.
Of the 1 lakh 49 thousand 577 crores of GST collected in the month of February, Central GST 27,662 crore, State GST Rs 34,915 crore, Integrated GST Rs 75,069 crore and Cess Rs 11,931 crore, according to the Ministry of Finance. GST collection in Odisha increased by 10 percent to Rs 4,519 crore this month.
In addition to this, the country’s GST collection has been above 1 lakh 40 thousand crores for 11 consecutive months in the current financial year. While other countries of the world are in recession, this shows the good health of the Indian economy. In the month of November, the central government has paid 17 thousand crore rupees GST compensation to the states.
