New Delhi: Out of 182 seats in Gujarat, BJP has won the election in 156 seats. However, BJP has faced many obstacles to create this history in the state.
BJP has changed the chief minister 3 times in 6 years. Despite changing the Chief Minister 3 times, the BJP has achieved a record victory. Anandiben Patel became the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2014 after Modi became the Prime Minister. But in 2016, Anandiben resigned due to PAS movement. Vijay Rupani became the Chief Minister of Gujarat in 2017. But Rupani also resigned in September 2021. In 2021, Bhupendrabhai Patel became the Chief Minister of the state.
When Bhupendrabhai Patel became the Chief Minister, the BJP completely reshuffled the Gujarat cabinet. This is a rare event in the political history of the state. However, by changing the Chief Minister and reshuffling the entire cabinet, the BJP has succeeded in dealing with the anti-government mentality.
BJP did not give tickets to 42 MLAs during ticket distribution for 2022 Gujarat assembly election. About 23.1 percent of the total BJP MLAs did not get tickets. After the distribution of tickets, the BJP confronted the rebels. But the party has successfully dealt with the rebels.
