Gujarat Floods: Number of fatalities in Gujarat climbs to 28, a yellow alert is declared for 22 regions

Gujarat Floods: At least 28 people have already died due to heavy rains in Gujarat in the last three days. About 18,000 people have been evacuated from the flood-affected areas and the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in 11 districts today.

Gujarat Floods: According to data shared by the Gujarat government, at least one person has died in Morbi, Vadodara, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Bharuch, Jamnagar, Dwarka and Dang districts. Similarly, six people died in Anand, four in Ahmedabad and two in Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagar, Dahod and Surendranagar districts.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for 22 districts on Thursday, saying that there will be rain in 11 districts of Gujarat. Heavy rains are expected in the region due to the ongoing deep depression.
