Gandhinagar: A woman from Gujarat has died of H3N2 virus. This is the state’s first death due to H3N2 virus. The woman was undergoing treatment at SSG Hospital.
Including this case, a total of 7 deaths have already occurred in the country. The first death was reported in Hassan district of Karnataka. The country’s first case was identified after the death of an 82-year-old man.
According to the data given by the Union Health Ministry on Friday, 5,451 cases of H3N2 have been detected in the country between January 2 and March 5. By the end of March, the infection may be reduced, the ministry said.
Health researchers have informed that H3N2 has similarities with Corona. After almost 2 years of the Corona epidemic, the infection has once again become a cause of concern in the country. Recently, ICMR has issued an advisory letter to people to refrain from taking medicines of their own choice.
