Bengaluru: Due to very heavy and uninterrupted rains in Bengaluru last night, many areas were submerged and flooded. As a result, government authorities are sending boats for mass migration.

According to the information collected the most rain-affected areas are Bellandur, Sarjapura Road, Whitefield, Outer Ring Road and BEML Layout.

People have shared photos on social media of several areas inundated in the Karnataka capital due to hours of rain. The road from Spice Garden to Whitefield has been blocked.

Due to the rains, flooding has also occurred in some advanced apartment complexes. For this, the residents have sought the cooperation of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in Karnataka till September 9.

Government authorities have asked the public not to leave their homes unless it is essential and not to send their children to school.
