New Delhi: The uncertainty over the participation of the Pakistan team in the ICC One Day World Cup to be held in India this year has come to an end. According to media reports, the Pakistan government has given the green signal to the team to tour India for the World Cup. As a result, the way has been cleared for the Pakistan cricket team to come to India to participate in the World Cup to be played in India in October-November.
Pakistani newspaper Dawn has published a report that the Pakistan cricket team will come to India to play the ICC One Day World Cup this year. Pakistan’s foreign ministry website has informed that the team will come to India and play the World Cup.
The World Cup match between India and Pakistan was earlier scheduled to be played on October 15. But it was changed in view of Navratri. Now this match will be played a day earlier i.e. October 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Pakistan government has not yet given permission to come to India citing security reasons. The team was allowed to play the World Cup in India after receiving a commitment from the ICC.
