Islamabad: In order to investigate the attack on Pakistan Tereek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, a ‘lockdown’ (SEAL) has been imposed in Pakistan‘s Punjab province from 6 pm on Thursday until further orders, according to a notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner of the Capital Territory of Islamabad.

After analyzing the current situation in the Punjab province, the above decision has been taken to bring back a peaceful atmosphere for the people living in the capital.

However, the supply of medicines, transport of patients for medical treatment, procurement of ration materials, supply of drinking water and other emergency services will continue during the lockdown.

Therefore, before the commencement of the lockdown, the public has been instructed to change the time scheduled for collection of ration, medicines and other activities.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Industrial Area, City and Shalimar, ICT Islamabad have been directed to enforce the above order in their respective subdivisions as well as to continue the supply of food.

Educational institutions in the Punjab province have also been ordered to remain closed until further orders as the police have been empowered to ‘cordon’ certain places where necessary for public safety.
