New Delhi: Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been accused by the ED in the case of payment of Rs 215 crore. The ED is likely to file a charge sheet against her today.
Earlier, actress Fernandez was only questioned in the case of ‘conman’ Sukesh Chandrasekhar.
Although the accused has been named, it is not clear whether she will be arrested or not.
According to the information received from special sources, the ED has learned that Jacqueline Hernandez was taking part in the money paid.
The ED had earlier learned that Sukesh had gifted various items to Fernandez worth Rs 10 crore. Meanwhile, the ED has ‘attached’ Fernandez’s assets worth more than 7 crore rupees. Among the ‘attached’ assets is a ‘fixed deposit’ of Rs 7.12 crore in the name of Fernandez.
According to media reports, Sukesh Chandrasekhar gave a gift worth Rs 5.71 crore to Fernandez in the form of payment. In addition, he has given Fernandez’s family about 1,73,000 US dollars and 27,000 Australian dollars in the form of funds, the “ED” estimates.
