New Delhi: Lt Governor VK Saxena has ordered the removal of Jasmine Shah from the post of Vice-Chairman of the Delhi Dialogue and Development Commission for abusing the office for political purposes. Saxena said to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

Late on Thursday evening, Mr. Saxena issued the above order and ordered to lock Shah’s office.

According to information received, Shah’s office on Shamnath Marg in the national capital was locked on thursday night and all other facilities available to him, including government lanes, were immediately withdrawn.

In September, BJP MP Parvesh Verma complained that Shah was abusing public office by working as a political spokesperson of AAP. The viceroy issued a show cause notice to Shah on the said complaint. A month after the notice was issued, the governor ordered his eviction.

Notably, in 2014, Jasmine Shah joined ‘App’. In 2018, he was appointed as the Vice Chairman of Delhi Dialogue and Development Commission. This post is equivalent to a Cabinet Minister in the Government of Delhi.
