Actress Kareena Kapoor was not the first choice for ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’
In the film, the character of 'Rupa' is a 50-year-old woman from 18 years old.
Mumbai: Did you know that actress Kareena Kapoor wasn’t the first choice for ‘Lal Singh Chaddha‘? Aamir Khan and the director chose a 25-year-old actress for the film. But the last choice was 41-year-old Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Recently, Aamir revealed this in ‘Koffee With Karan’. He said that in an advertisement, another model appeared on the screen with Kareena. The director and I saw that advertisement and thought of another model for the role of ‘Rupa’ in our film. But at times I felt that Kareena would be suitable for the said character.
In the film, the character of ‘Rupa’ is a 50-year-old woman from 18 years old. That’s why they wanted an actress who could look both young and old. Then they liked Kareena. The most important thing is that Kareena gave a screen test for the first time in her 22-year career.
For your information, we are informed that there is a controversy regarding this movie which is going to hit the screens on 11th. Hindus expressed their displeasure after seeing the missing inscription on the photo of mother Lakshmi in the poster of the film. It is accused of hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus.
