Kuwait Mangaf building fire: Special flight started its journey to Kerala carrying 45 dead bodies of Indians

New Delhi: A special Indian Air Force plane carrying the bodies of 45 Indians who lost their lives in the Kuwait Mangaf building fire started its journey to Kerala on Friday morning. Union Minister Kirti Vardhan Singh confirmed this through an X post. The minister himself has boarded the flight.

This special flight will land at Kochi, Kerala. Police and ambulance teams have been deployed at Cochin International Airport for this reason.

On Thursday, Kuwaiti authorities identified the bodies of 45 Indians and three Filipinos who died in the fire. Kuwait has pledged to immediately investigate the incident and fully support the return of the victim’s body.

Last Wednesday, there was a terrible fire in a large building in the city of Mangaf, which is located in the south of Kuwait. 49 people died and 50 people were injured. Most of the dead are Indians.
