New Delhi: Security has been tightened at Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will produce jailed Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal in the liquor case. In addition, the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear Arvind Kejriwal‘s challenge to the Delhi High Court order; which suspended the bail granted by the lower court in the liquor policy case.

According to information, CBI may arrest Arvind Kejriwal and demand his custody. The federal agency on Monday interrogated the Delhi Chief Minister in Tihar Jail in the liquor policy case and recorded his statement. The CBI will present the Delhi Chief Minister in a trial court at 10 am today before the hearing of the Supreme Court.

As Arvind Kejriwal is in judicial custody in an Enforcement Directorate case, his formal arrest may be in court. If the CBI arrests him, the Delhi Chief Minister will not be able to get out of jail today.

Arrested in the liquor policy scam case, Kejriwal was granted bail by a trial court in Delhi on Thursday. The Delhi High Court has banned the bail.

However, the court said, the lower court did not spend its brain while granting bail to Kejriwal. Similarly, the court did not consider the evidence submitted by the investigating agency. The opinion of the trial court is incorrect. The investigating agency needs some time to consider the application made by the ED.
