Bhubaneswar: Men’s Hockey World Cup will be held in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela from 13th of next month. Hockey India announced the schedule for this World Cup trophy tour on Friday. The trophy will travel to 16 major cities of the country for 21 days. It consists of 12 states and one union territory. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will hand over the trophy to Hockey India President Dilip Tirki on 5th. After this, the journey of the trophy will begin.
After visiting Bhubaneswar on the first day, the second day will include Kolkata, Imphal, Guwahati, Jamshedpur, Ranchi, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh/Punjab, Amritsar, Sonipat, Delhi (two days), Bhopal, Mumbai, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Bengal and will return to Bhubaneswar on December 25. Such a decision will encourage all the hockey lovers of the country,” Hockey India President Dilip Tirki said.
