New Delhi: After checking 29 phones, ‘malware’ was found in 5 phones. But that is ‘Pegasus’ does not have any definite proof, said Chief Justice N.V. Ramana jury today.
The expert committee appointed by the Supreme Court to investigate the ‘Pegasus‘ scam case today told a jury headed by the Chief Justice that there was no definite evidence of ‘spyware’ in the 29 mobile phones they examined.
The committee also told the court that the central government has not cooperated in the investigation.
The Supreme Court formed an expert committee following allegations that Pegasus spyware was stealing information from the phones of politicians, social workers and journalists. The said committee is examining the report submitted.
In this regard, the Supreme Court said today that the said report has been submitted in three parts. Out of them, 2 reports were given by the technical committee while one report was submitted by the retired judge of the Supreme Court, R.V. Rabindran’s.The report will be uploaded and made public on the website of the (Third) Supreme Court.
The hearing of the case was adjourned for 4 weeks. The registry will announce the date for the next hearing.
