Seoul: North Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denied the media reports that it has supplied weapons to Russia, saying that there has never been an arms trade between the two countries, the state-run media outlet KCNA North Korea reported today.

In the statement of the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Korea published by KCNA, it is mentioned that the false report by the Japanese media that the DPRK has supplied Russia with weapons is very false and a rumor.

It is worth noting that the Japanese “Tokyo Shimbun” previously reported that, N.Korea sent deadly weapons to Russia through the border route by train last month. A few more weapons will ship in the coming weeks.

On Thursday, the White House also said that North Korea was the first to send weapons to the domestic Russian military company ‘The Wagner Group’ to help the Russian army in Ukraine.

However, the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of N.Korea did not mention the name of ‘Wagner’. According to the White House, “Wagner” has received “infantry rockets” and “missiles” from North Korea. However, the owner of “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin denied it and called this news as fabricated.
